New Orleans is buzzing with fresh opportunities as a number of legal and health sector professionals announce their new roles across Louisiana. This is shaping up to be a dynamic time for these industries, with experienced experts stepping into pivotal positions that promise to bring positive changes.
First up, we have Molly K. Vigour, who is joining Kean Miller’s New Orleans office as special counsel. With nearly 20 years of invaluable in-house counsel experience under her belt, she’s stepping into her new role with plenty of expertise in her toolkit. Molly’s practice will focus on an array of fields including business law, transactional law, hospitality, real estate, compliance, and even entertainment law.
Her background is quite impressive, covering areas such as labor and employment, entity formation, business licensing, commercial and restaurant leases, vendor contracts, lease extensions, and resolving disputes. Molly graduated with honors in history from Mount Holyoke College before earning her law degree, cum laude, from Tulane University Law School. Her previous responsibilities included serving as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter in Shreveport, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the legal landscape.
Meanwhile, the Louisiana Bar Foundation has brought on board Kimberly Ramagos as their new chief financial officer. With over 15 years of experience managing finances and human resources across various sectors such as nonprofit organizations, manufacturing, retail, and real estate, Kimberly brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of New Orleans and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from the same institution. Her diverse experience will no doubt bolster the Foundation’s financial strategies.
On the corporate front, Ryan D. McNamara has jumped on board the law firm Fishman Haygood as special counsel in their business section. Known for his focus on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity and venture capital, and real estate, Ryan graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School, where he was also a contributor to the Tulane Law Review. His expertise will be pivotal for corporate clients navigating complex business landscapes.
Switching gears to health care, we have Erin Walker, who has taken on the role of vice president of planning and performance for Our Lady of the Lake Health.
